5 weeks ago today my family left Houston for Navarre. When we arrived we had our Saturday and Sunday crushed by the two red flags. No entry whatsoever. I feel for those leaving today or tomorrow. You look forward to it all year only to get there and not be able to do what you want to do, water and beach wise. Hopefully they will have a few days this week where it clears.
Looks like TS Barry will impact a great deal of the Gulf Coast ~ but apparently not going to get to hurricane strength. The rain event may be quite massive, however!!!

I am betting the Blues postpone tomorrow's show.
Sounds likely now that they're saying Barry could be hurricane force by landfall sometime Saturday.

And once again Houston desperately needs the rain, and not a drop off it will fall here. Typical crappy summer weather in Houston sunny 98 every day no wind no shade it's the same thing day in and day out just like Phoenix Arizona, every single year it does not change.
We were there July 8-20 and had another fantastic stay; one thing I noticed was that on a couple days during Barry's approach/entrance, Gulf Islands National Seashore had yellow flags, unlike the double reds at the Pier/Summerwind. Pier fishing was only seriously impacted by wind for one day, so no complaints here!

I need a lot more report than that Garrison.

Yes sir, I plan to but it was outta the frying pan and into the fire, was back here at work 9 hours after we got home and haven't had a day off since! That "Navarre Newspaper" on youtube that gives the 90 second videos of the pier each day features me with a spanish on 7-13 and Sam with a spanish on 7-15. More to come, but later
