I just read on the Navarre Press online edition of Bob's passing. I, in addition to my family were so fortunate to have met Bob years ago before my wife's 40th birthday party at Juanas. We had just met Bob that week, and he showed up at the party with a bouquet of roses for my wife. He made the party.

We saw Bob off and on over the years and he was always such a pleasant upbeat person to be around.

My father-in-law and I last saw Bob at Helenback and I treasure the memory of the hug I gave him and the drink we shared over great conversation.

Rest in peace my friend, you've touched our lives and I'll miss seeing you around when I'm in Navarre.

We did not have the pleasure of meeting him, but our hearts go out to you, his other friends, the Navarre Krewe of Jesters and his family in your loss.

You gave a lovely tribute to him!

P'Kid, I think the picture AG posted from the Navarre Press pretty much sums up the Bob I knew. You can feel the kindness in his soul, which was very present when you were around him. He was 86 and liked the Smokehouse and Helenback, where his Special Granddaughter worked for a while. If you ever met him, you would always remember him.

Bob was very active in the Krewe of Jesters. He and his significant other were King and Queen of the Mardi Gras parade several years ago, and he always played Santa. Very good story about him in the most recent Navarre Press.
