Was very "lucky" yesterday. Showing some of wife's high school girlfriends and their husbands around and walked the pier. Overheard the fish of the day was Cobia (in fact saw one that had just been caught) so went to there for lunch. Among us had Cobia sandwiches - grilled, fried, and blackened - a grilled Cobia basket, and Cobia tacos. None of our visitors had ever previously had Cobia. Wonderful - and generous portions - my sandwich fillet was nearly an inch thick. Enjoy the season!
Cheers, Pete

Not in the least. Cobia is a bit more on the "steak" consistency side vs. flaky but cooked correctly is so tender and white and just lovely. You can not get it very often and certainly rarely in the summer. When I was there back during the week of the 13th (report on it's way under the main forum), Joe Patti's had a bunch of it.
