Subject: Opposition to rezoning to High-Density at Navarre Beach
Dear County Commissioner(s):
I oppose the rezoning of Low-Density property to High-Density (high rise condos) property that is not provided for in the Navarre Beach Master Plan. Currently the Master Plan allows for about one mile of vacant property on both sides of Gulf Blvd. that is between Navarre Towers and the eastern boundary of the old Holiday Inn. Since this property is already zoned for High-Density (high rise condos) it makes sense for developers to build there first.
The property adjacent to the west of the Belle Mer condo is not zoned for High-Density (high rise condos) in accordance to the Navarre Beach Master Plan. Granting approval for this rezoning application would adversely affect the future of Navarre Beach. I respectfully request that the Santa Rosa County Commissioner(s) in good faith protect the public trust by denying the rezoning application of the above mentioned property.
