It's the same on east end. Guess that east wind brought the red tide to us.
Was surprised how many lion fish, as well as many other species, were on the beach!

You can see the dead bodies on the sand clearly now that the camera is fixed (thanks Kenny for resetting it).

Hope nobody gets too much in the way of eye or lung irritation from it. :(

Brian, I posted some pix and described my irritations from it. (breathing, coughing, eyes, nose) I just wonder how long the air will make you this way? When can we sit or walk on the beach without those irritations? The beach service did put chairs and umbrella's out today, and cleaned up the dead fish on the beach in front of the condo's.

Can't answer your question directly - who knows the exact day when it will all clear?

I wouldn't be on the beach myself right now.... Maybe a walk along the blvd, but not on the beach.

I don’t want to be a bearer of bad news, but the local news media is saying that it may be several weeks before the red tide problem is over.

I was at Navarre Beach last Saturday and the Red Tide was absent and again last night at the Pier. I would say that over the past 5 days the Red Tide has ended. That should be good news for visitors that are planning a trip to the beach.

The Santa Rosa Sound was never effected by the Red Tide and no fish kills at my home on the Sound that is 25 feet from the water.

I am happy Kenny that seems the Red Tide has passed. Was concerned for all living there, visiting and also the animals/fishes/mammals' of the sea. After seeing the post was on a mission to learn as much as possible about Red Tide. Very disturbing.

The only good news would be the lion fish? Right?
