Trying to keep an eye on the turtle nests but the camera is not turning.

Kenny,

Its locked into one position, just looking straight down at the beach.

About 5 days ago I changed the Navarre Beach Live HD 1080 Zoom Cam viewing tour for nighttime to 1 stationary station. The daytime 12 stations are unchanged. In a few days I will decide on whether to change the nighttime back to 12 stations. I indicated on the forum over the weekend that I was making this change to save the cam's moving motor from wearing out in operating 24/7.

Just trying to keep the Zoom Cam operational. To replace it would be very expensive.

Susan, give me a few minutes and I will change the nighttime stationary view to that of the sea turtle nest just west of the Belle Mer.

Looks like the turtle next west of Belle Mer hatched last night.

Sorry I missed your earlier post about the webcam Kenny. Keeping the cam stationary overnight makes perfect sense.

To make it interesting going forward let me know which location on the beach tonight that you want to view in a stationary mode and I'll set it up.

there is another turtle nest within camera view on the east side of Belle Mer

Give me a few minutes to see if I can locate the sea turtle nest to the east of the Belle Mer.

Susan, because of the darkness of the night I could not find the nest that you mentioned east of Belle Mer. Right now I am locking the Zoom Cam from the Navarre Towers walkover and about 80 feet towards the Belle Mer. If you could be more specific I'll try again to show the view that you have requested.

Good morning Kenny! I was worthless last night and hit the hay early, sorry. The nest is between Belle Mer and beach access #7 (I think this is the number?). On the east side of Belle Mer.

Also, if you wouldn't mind, I would be ever so grateful, if you could stop by the nest and use your best Florida Master Naturalist Whisperer Voice to ask the wee turtles to wait for me to be there before they emerge. That would be great!

For any who have never witnessed the hatching of a sea turtle nest, here is a video of a Loggerhead nest hatching:
