Re: 160 Room Hotel to Start Construction In Early 2014

Good morning y'all! I'm guessing here but isn't this the location on the east side of Navarre Towers? If so I'll need to monitor the situation. I've stayed in fantastic units at both Towers and Regency but give the nod to Towers because of their pool area. If there's going to be major construction g...

Re: AJ McCarron The Best Quarterback In College Football

AJ can have the Heismen; there are at least 4 QB's, no other skill positions considered, who are more deserving of the Heisman.

Re: Friday 9/27/2013 on the National Seashore near Navarre B

Love that photo because a) it is my favorite place in the world and b) the view is a stark contrast to all the lament on Trip Advisor about the water quality in the Destin/Ft Walton area. Can't wait to head back to my vacation "home base" next year!

Re: I had the urge for Navarre the other day

Funny that I should stumble upon those photos at a time when I am longing for NB myself; I've been leisurely perusing vrbo this week, specifically units in Galveston and Port Aransas. I was considering a spring break trip for the family to someplace new that would be warmer than NB in late March. My...

Re: Winning proposal to manage the Navarre Beach Pier

ONLY VIABLE FUTURE SOLUTION: The Navarre Beach Greater Area needs to Incorporate…by becoming a city called Navarre Beach, Florida. I too was disappointed with what I thought was the decision to switch pier managers, to the point that I was already considering alternate plans for vacation next year ...

Thanks; I'd tried "googling" for dates and looking through back issues of the Press to no avail.

Last I heard, the next replenishment project was scheduled for late '13 and part of '14. Can anyone out there provide dates or are they not finite yet?

The beaches aren't as pronounced in Navarre as they are in Pensacola , Destin or Fort Walton; however, they are just as beautiful and nowhere near as crowded!

Lynchmob, you sound like you're facing a similar situation my family was a couple years ago before we started staying in NB ourselves. Though we still trek into Destin for a few family faves, the traffic over there is too much to bear. Best decision we ever made was to make NB the home base; laid ba...

That certainly is my attitude going into it; I think I first have to overcome the depression of not being there anymore this year, lol. My son's Pop Warner season starts in two weeks and that always gets me amped up. I was actually thinking about doing some googling on a few career sites down there ...

Stuck in Atlanta always beats stuck in Indiana, I would imagine. I've got the weather (90+ degrees and no rain around) but you're much closer to the fun. I'll definitely be taking the kids to hit the Lake Michigan beaches this weekend.

I got the king and my son got the blacktip. I work near the Indiana Harbor and Ship Canal (dirtiest waterway in Indiana) so I do heed those warnings at home. We'd already taken king and Spanish to Fisherman's Wharf to cook; they had no concerns at that point so neither did I. When they cooked our ca...
