Re: Question regarding "no rentals"
The restriction appears to be aimed at the rental companies or other licensed owners who rent. The governor’s order is directed at them, not the tourists renting, and threatens those renting with misdemeanor, etc. I am not sure where the Walton County authorities got the power to evict and/or issue ...

Re: Update(s) About the 2016 Navarre Beach Renourishment Pro
I would think segment 4 might take longer than the others if they rebuild the dunes and the beach there that seemed worse than the others. Having said that, they may still be done before you arrive. They are VERY efficient and very friendly. Watching them stop patiently for people walking in front o...

Re: Arriving Saturday-Notified our Townhouse beach closed
I am staying in that block too. I hope that is not the case. Are you sure they are saying it is "closed" for the week and not just warning you that there will be a large pipe between you and the beach for the week? They are building sand walkovers to get over the pipe so they are supposed to only cl...

Re: Arriving Saturday-Notified our Townhouse beach closed
They said it would be closed the whole week?
Based upon what I have read on the re-nourishment thread, they are supposed to be moving about 500 feet per day and only close off 1000 feet at a time so you would think it would be two days max.

Re: More development coming to the Navarre Beach Marine Park
Today’s Article In the Navarre Press http://navarrepress.com/local/potential-development-navarre-beach-marine-park/ In the Navarre Press article it states “Real estate taxes of $105,451.53 were recently paid on the property bringing the taxes owed to a current status.” That’s a lot of taxes for und...

It looks like the Sundunes will be at the end of segment 3 when you zoom in on the live map here. http://santarosagis.maps.arcgis.com/app ... 651190fff5

Re: Update(s) About the 2016 Navarre Beach Renourishment Pro
I drove out to the beach about an hour ago and noticed that the Renourishment Project is west of both Emerald Surf and Viewpoint. The Project is now about 0.5 miles from Sundunes. I talked with the Project’s onsite engineer yesterday and he says the Project is moving faster than the projected 500 f...

Re: Update(s) About the 2016 Navarre Beach Renourishment Pro
Kenny, the map with the estimated timeline makes it look like the two dredges both feed the same pipe taking turns rather than feeding separate pipes simultaneously as the timeline is spread from the east end to the west. Were you told that both pipes would be used simultaneously?

I remember that erosion from last year. It was all the way up to the berm and it seemed those staying on the other side of the berm could not access the beach as a result of the drop off and lack of beach. Also, the erosion uncovered many of the shells in the berm which encouraged shell collecting a...
