Re: Navarrre Beach Leaseholders Lease Credit on Tax

I sent a message to the county asking for clarification. Merry Beth Andrews replied with the following helpful information. The document that we need is the latest Assignment of Lease or whatever document transferred the property from the previous owner to you and your wife. If you go to the propert...

Re: Navarrre Beach Leaseholders Lease Credit on Tax

I received my letter last week (dated March 30) that details the upcoming changes. It asks for a "copy of master lease, assignment of lease, or the latest document of conveyance". All I remember from my closing documents last year was a scan of a very old lease from the 1950's. At least it is progre...

Beach Erosion

We have owned our house for less than a year so I do not have a historical perspective. It is located near Beach Access 10. Obviously long term there is erosion hence the hopeful re-nourishment next year. I walked down to the beach last weekend (March 14) and there was a sign at the foot of the stai...

Re: New bridge tolls on the way for Navarre?

I am curious if anyone reviewed the presentation (agenda) and/or watched the replay of last week's planning meeting? Many important issues were covered. The bridge toll would probably be added to the Navarre Bridge reserve balance (page 30). There was a full discussion on the bridge and that an erra...

Re: N.B Residents never voted to be included in incorporatio

Since the time we purchased our home in June, we have made over 10 trips down from Atlanta to work and enjoy our time at the beach. I don't get to vote on this issue and I would say both sides have their salient points. What strikes me is that on each of our drives down, you begin to see the wide ra...

Re: Biting flies at the beach?

The water on Saturday was amazingly clear. Lots of flies and butterflies. Tried to inoculate myself with Corona. Didn't seem to help with the flies. Looking forward to being back in a couple of weeks. The weather was absolutely perfect.

Cool video! I was on my deck that evening when your unit flew over. Now I know what my upper roof looks like!

Re: Locals Getting Our Beach Back Today

My wife and I look forward to being on the beach Saturday until about 4. Then it will be time to head up to the deck to watch my Bulldogs at 4:30. Any gumbo recipes would be appreciated!

I hope everyone has a great (and safe) Labor Day weekend.

Re: Welcome, new forumite!

That be me! My wife and I purchased a house at the beach in June. It was a lot more work than we anticipated but it was worth it. Up until this past weekend, I had been fortunate enough spend the previous 8 weekends (and 2 full weeks) enjoying and working the new house. For now, home is still the At...
